Baby, it's cold outside

It's too cold to do anything except sit as close to the fire as I can manage, and knit.  We've had no snow here in East London but the temperature has not risen above freezing all weekend.

I'm also testing out the theory that chocolate brownies keep out the cold.  We haven't eaten enough yet to be sure though, so we'll have to report back on this theory at a later date.

  3. I was in London a week ago and was boiling - throwing off the heaps of coats and scarves I had brought from the frozen North.

Mr Coffee went this week. He reports that in a week it has become biting cold.

  4. We have been away for the weekend -0 we left home in snow, barely warmed up all weekend and have come home to more cold and a little bit of snow left over. I've restocked the log basket and I'm now going nowhere!

  6. I am considering turning your little video into a screensaver and putting the laptop in the fireplace. Had the chimney man our this week-he reckons it will cost approx £2000 to sort out the 'balls up' that is our chimney. Gutted does not even begin to describe my feelings!!x
